"PDQ FINDS NATIONAL PARTNER TO RESPOND TO EMPLOYMENT DEMANDS"

Patty DeDominic, founder & CEO of PDQ Careers Group of Companies, one of Los Angeles’ largest privately held staffing services, which she founded in 1979, has agreed to sell PDQCareers and CT Engineering to SelectRemedy, California’s largest independently-owned staffing firm.

“I look forward to assisting the PDQ/SelectRemedy team create a strategic plan for even more long-term success,” said DeDominic.

“It is a marriage of two companies that perfectly complement each other and gives our national clients more support and wider distribution for our exceptional database of candidates.  This is especially important as we enter 2007 and the US Department of Labor is predicting shortages of skilled people.  Employers who want to hire great people will have to partner with the best and most resourceful recruiting teams.  I predict the next two years will be among the most challenging.  We have already seen a considerable increase in our orders in just the past few months."

Founded in Santa Barbara in 1985, SelectRemedy is one of the top 10 staffing firms nationwide and is continuing an aggressive nationwide growth strategy. The Select Family of Staffing Companies has over 250 offices nationwide, generating annual revenue in excess of $1 billion.  SelectRemedy’s Los Angeles team will move into PDQ’s offices at 777 Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles.  PDQ’s East Coast operation will report to the RemX division of SelectRemedy, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

“The acquisition of PDQ Careers strengthens our specialty offering, reinforces our standing as the dominant staffing organization in Los Angeles, and enhances our competitive position in New Jersey,” said Steve Sorensen, president and CEO of SelectRemedy.

PDQ and CT Engineering clients include the University of Southern California, The Automobile Clubs, Wells Fargo Bank, Cedars Sinai Hospital, Children's Hospital, Western University, the Aerospace Corporation, Boeing, the country of Japan and local, state and the federal governments.

“Over 25 years of experience, extensive contacts, and quality service helped establish PDQ Careers as the largest Los Angeles-based staffing service,” said DeDominic.

“By combining our strengths, SelectRemedy is uniquely positioned for continued growth throughout the region.  I plan to be actively involved with the company for at least the next two years and am pleased that most of our key project managers and recruiters will stay on with the merged company.  The new team is stronger and better, and we look forward to being able to offer more job opportunities to our candidates and to serve our clients with significantly more resources.”

DeDominic is active in numerous organizations, serving as past chair of the board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, past president of the National Association of Women Business Owners, a past Commissioner of the Americas for the World Association of Women Chiefs and an advisor to the Women’s Leadership Board at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She also helped create the Foundation for SCORE, which utilizes the expertise of volunteer business leaders to provide business counseling to small business owners.

The United States Congress, state governors, trade associations and her peers have honored DeDominic and her firm for over twenty years. She has been recognized for her work as a small-business advocate, as a community leader and as one of “America's Finest Employers.”

“Besides my work with the PDQ/SelectRemedy team, I will continue to work for the benefit of small business owners, and branch out into new areas of business and advocacy,” said DeDominic.
